Football Club Beitar Jerusalem was founded in 1936 by David Horne, who was
the head of the Beitar branch in Jerusalem. With the help of idealistic youth who
belonged to the Revisionist movement and to the Etzel and Lehi organizations,
he has established the first football team.聽
Beitar Jerusalem is the most popular team in Israel and it is loved by people
from across ethnic groups, nationalities, genders and sectors.聽
